How bookings work
Football Getaways is a specialist football travel brand. We work with InteleTravel UK (ABTA member, membership number P7384), who are appointed agents for the travel suppliers fulfilling your trip. The supplier’s own ATOL protection applies to the package elements of your trip where flights are included.
When you enquire through this site, we put together a tailored itinerary and quote based on what you have asked for. A booking is only confirmed once:
- You have reviewed and accepted the written quote;
- You have received a written booking confirmation from us or the supplier; and
- The deposit (or full balance, depending on the supplier and timing) has been received.
Payments and balance
Payment terms vary depending on the supplier, the fixture and how close to departure you book. As a guide, a deposit is usually taken at the point of confirmation, with the balance due 8–12 weeks before travel. Exact terms will be set out in your written quote.
All payments are taken by the supplier or by InteleTravel UK on behalf of the supplier. Football Getaways does not hold client money directly.
Match tickets and fixtures
Football fixtures, kick-off times, hospitality formats and ticket allocations are controlled by the clubs and governing bodies, not by us. They can change at short notice (date moves for TV, cup-tie reschedules, weather postponements, security re-allocations).
Where a fixture date or kick-off time changes, we will work with you and the supplier to adjust your trip wherever practical. If a match is postponed or cancelled, the rights and remedies available depend on the club’s and supplier’s policies, which will be set out in your written booking conditions.
Changes and cancellations
You may ask to amend or cancel your booking at any time. The terms that apply — including any administration fees, supplier charges and timing rules — will be those of the relevant supplier as set out in your written confirmation.
Passports, visas and insurance
It is your responsibility to ensure that everyone in your party holds a valid passport, the right visas, and appropriate travel insurance from the day of booking. For UK passport holders, check the latest requirements at gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice.
We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance that covers match cancellation and supporter group travel.
Behaviour and entry
Stadium entry, hospitality access and hotel accommodation are subject to the venue’s own conditions. Clubs, hotels and airlines reserve the right to refuse entry or service for behaviour they consider unacceptable. We pass on any costs incurred by refused service or removal back to the lead guest of the booking.
If something goes wrong
If something on the trip is not as it should be, please tell us or the supplier’s on-trip contact as soon as possible so that we can try to put it right while you are still travelling. If you would like to raise a complaint formally afterwards, email hello@sportingescapesgroup.com with your booking reference and the team will respond within 28 days.
